The Division for Inclusive Social Development (DISD) of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) of the United Nations (UN) Secretariat features videos on social development issues such as ageing, civil society, cooperatives, disability, employment, family, indigenous issues, poverty, social integration, youth and videos of meetings, briefings and events related to social policy and development.
UNDESA DISD does not guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy, or validity of any comments posted to its social media outlets ( blogs, social networks, message boards/forums, etc.). Users must not post any content that is obscene, defamatory, profane, libelous, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful or embarrassing to any person or entity. UNDESA-DSPD reserves the right to delete or edit any comments that it considers inappropriate or unacceptable.

Opening of the 23rd UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII)
The twenty-third session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) will take place in-person at UN Headquarters in New York from 15-26 April 2024. Theme: "Enhancing Indigenous Peoples' right to self-determination in the context of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples: emphasizing the voices of Indigenous youth"

Why the High-Level Political Forum has to take so long?
Does anyone remember the "Honouring the Convention" Forum on UN Convention on the Rights of people with disablities Vancouver, BC - Dulcie McCallum December 10 2010. When is Canada going to fully sign the protocols? I've asked people and they did not get back to me. Someone please get back to me. We have nothing unless this gets done.
How much richer our lives would be if our communities were multi-generational. Let's support our elderly and our youngsters of all ages at home, if we can and as best we can. And when we can't, let's integrate our assisted living and nursing homes into our communities with meaningful activities.

I think these women are a great role model about how to get old and also proof of why old people should be admired , respected and cared for by society as a whole.
